Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a groundbreaking, evidence-based modality that’s helped countless people worldwide, including myself, experience profound, lasting change.

Together, we’ll gently untangle the patterns or challenges you identify as limiting, so you can step into a fuller, more vibrant, and loving version of yourself. By addressing the root cause and providing the connection and healing each part needs, you’ll release old burdens and unresolved trauma.

IFS IN mY LIFE...
IFS is more than a modality for me, it’s a daily practice that has shaped my personal and professional growth over the past two years. In addition to working with clients, I continue to expand my expertise through ongoing work with my own IFS practitioner, both individually and with my partner through IFIO (Intimacy From The Inside Out), the IFS approach for couples. I also engage in consultation sessions with an IFS supervisor and continued professional development.
My background in psycho-sexual somatic therapy coaching provides a strong foundation in attachment theory, the nervous system, trauma, the relational field, and somatic transference. This isn’t just something I’ve studied through theory alone, I’ve lived it through my own journey with complex trauma. This integrative approach allows me to hold space for deep, embodied healing and transformation. It would be an honour to walk beside you and provide support for your personal journey.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT IFS
Internal Family Systems is a powerful way of accessing the different “parts” of your psyche to understand what’s driving you in different circumstances. It could be a critical inner voice, a protective stance, a response you’re having to something, or an on-going feeling. It can also be a physical pain or symptom. Together, we approach these parts without judgment, building a compassionate, supportive relationship to them and between the different parts.
The model recognises that our psyche is naturally multiple and that’s a good thing. Some of our parts help manage our day-to-day life, some have protective roles, and other parts hold our deepest vulnerabilities and emotional burdens. No parts are bad! Through experiences and circumstances, often when we are growing up, our parts can be forced from their most valuable and flexible states, into extreme and rigid roles. This generates recurring patterns of thoughts, behaviours and responses that can become unhelpful and limiting in our present life.
Often, these parts sit in the driver’s seat, unconsciously running our responses and feelings. But when these parts become led by our core or true Self, we experience greater freedom, trust and peace. Self energy is in everyone. It can’t be damaged, and it knows how to heal!
Developed by Richard Schwartz Ph.D, originally a family systems psychotherapist, IFS is an evidence-based psycho-spiritual model with therapeutic benefits that’s helped people to heal from physical and mental ailments, past trauma and addictions. It helps cultivate inner harmony, reduces internal conflicts, and empowers you to navigate day-to-day life with a grounded, resilient sense of Self.
